Mika Yoshino spent her childhood living in Australia and the United States. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Keio University, she completed short-term study abroad programs at Peking University and Beijing Language and Culture University, where she attained proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. Throughout the 1990s, she appeared extensively on television, serving as an anchor for TV Asahi's CNN Headline and JCTV's CNN Tokyo Prime, an MC for NHK BS's Asia Live, a VJ for STAR TV Hong Kong's Big Gig Japan, and an anchor for NHK BS's Ohayou Sekai no Top News. Since 2012, she has been active as an event MC and a program narrator for NHK World.
